James H. Rosing, MD, FACS · Newport Beach, California
The finest work goes unnoticed — a focused eyelid and facial practice built on proportion, restraint, and honest counsel.
01 — The measurements
The canons of the face are older than the specialty — the angles, the thirds, the golden section. Every plan begins by measuring what is already right, so the result reads as no result at all.
Study I — the profile
Nasofrontal 134° · nasolabial 106° · nasomental 128°
Study II — facial thirds
Trichion · glabella · subnasale · menton — 1 : 1 : 1
Study III — the golden section
φ 1 : 1.618 · the traced spiral
02 — The practice
A result that looks like surgery is a result that went too far. The work should disappear into the person: natural in photographs, invisible in daily life, evident only in how often you are told you look well.
Aesthetic and reconstructive surgery share one standard: the outcome should belong to the body it is part of. That standard is reached by planning, not ambition.
Fourteen years of practice in Newport Beach, built on general surgery training at Stanford and plastic surgery fellowship at UC Davis, inform a simple position: do less, precisely.
